experienced as a whole, and the third board
ties the project together, by providing
floorplans, additional atmospheric
renders and a unique conceptual collage,
displaying my concept and narrative in the
most visual manner possible.
Studying at BHC provided me with strong
foundations in interior design and design
in general. Learning to develop conceptual
thinking played an essential role from the
start of the course, and was reinforced at the
start of the year to ensure that we excel in
our 3rd year projects and competitions.
From 1st year we were provided with
the proper tools to utilise in our projects,
without feeling restricted or limited
to them, we had complete freedom to
explore and establish our style.
The hands-on approach from the
lecturers was also a great help, as they
are all professionals working in the
fields of design and architecture, so all
input received was backed by personal
experience and knowledge gathered over
years of projects.
BHC allowed me to delve deeper into
my passion for design, which led to me
spending countless hours exploring
everything from Photoshop and 3D
modelling to art, fashion and architecture
– all forming part of how I design and
view design today. dw
