Mule: Archetypal benches with zen
vibrations
The Mule project is a family of ash
benches whose milled solid wood sides
enhance the sculptural linearity imagined
by Alessandro Stabile.
"The skilled craftsmanship enhances the
richness of the material and generates a
noble object, composed of two suspended
monoliths that support the seat," the
designer explains. "It's a sort of small
temple that, with its solid continuity,
conveys a sense of calm and seems to
slow down the perception of time in the
observer, inviting them to sit for a break
in the flow of daily life." The pure, almost graphic design of the AX stool is perfect for libraries, bars, and homes

different ways, from a temporary seat,
The Alessandro Stabile studio
specializes in industrial design and
artistic direction. It interacts with
companies to develop ideas in an
effective creative process, aiming
to create products distinguished by
innovation, ethics, and elegance.
Challenging everything certain,
encouraging technological research
to surpass current limits, and
exploring practical improvements:
these are the methods for creating
original products that look beyond
what already exists to find a formal
synthesis that gives distinctive
momentum to the ordinary. The
studio creates products that focus on
people that express their full potential,
interpreting the contemporary world
in aesthetic terms and respecting
the environment. Chairs, handles,
air purifiers, backpacks, smart
pens, suitcases, electronic locks,
coffee tables, scissors, padlocks,
towel warmers, and stools: the
multi disciplinary approach is a
fundamental value of the studio that
allows it to always look at design in a
versatile way.
