Festival des Architectures Vives 2024 he 2024 edition of the Festival
des Architectures Vives received
Ta very positive response from the
Montpellier, France public, with visitors numbering around
13,000.
Since 2006, the Festival des
Architectures Vives has been offering
the public an immersive exploration of
Montpellier's architectural treasures - its
private mansions. By transforming little-
known historic spaces with contemporary
architectural installations, we encourage
dialogue between past and present,
tradition and innovation. Each installation
is created by teams of young architects.
This year, 30 mediators, students at the
Montpellier School of Architecture, were
on hand at each site to help visitors better
appreciate the tour. What's more, the
event was free of charge, demonstrating
ther desire to open up to as many people
as possible.
