From tables to vanity, wall-mounted
bookcases to console, every piece from
the collection is meticulously handcrafted
by the artist, who describes himself as a
“sculptographer.” Daniele Papuli, with
Fragmenti, continues his thirty-year
research exploring the use of paper as a
sculptural and functional material: a fluid
and dynamic investigation that merges
the volumetric forms of sculpture and
material expressions of paper itself.
“Paper is also a material for design.”

“Ancient, remote, with a long memory.
Here, the paper invites us to be touched,
caressed, or cherished, engaging with the
imagination and the illusion. Fragmenti
are modulated compositions, sensory
stations, objects that inhabit our daily
life, that tell their stories and invite us to
a specific role. The word Fragmenti, in
my opinion, has a great sound rhythm,
bringing us immediately back to the
‘fragrance’ of the sheet of paper. That
‘frag’ introduces an action, a movement,
a touch, a swipe, a crumple, a tear. Sitting
