                                                             In the heart of Fernbrook Estate, Randburg, stands a testament to
                                                             the  transformative  power  of  thoughtful  design  and  collaborative
                                                             effort. House Grant, once a traditional family home, has undergone
                                                             a stunning metamorphosis under the expert guidance of Design By
                                                             EI Wood, emerging as a contemporary masterpiece that seamlessly
                                                             blends industrial chic with warm, livable spaces.

                                                             The year-long renovation journey began with a clear vision: to create
                                                             a  home  that  not  only  updated  the  interiors  but  also  reflected  the
                                                             unique style and personality of the homeowners, Kristy and Gareth
                                                             Grant. Design By EI Wood, in collaboration with Gelis Kitchen
                                                             Experts, embarked on an ambitious project to reimagine every room,
                                                             resulting in a cohesive design that embraces dark, moody spaces with
                                                             an edgy twist.

                                                             At the heart of the renovation lies the kitchen – the project's catalyst.
                                                             Originally closed off and dimly lit, the space has been dramatically
                                                             opened, allowing natural light to flood in and create a striking contrast
                                                             with  the  dark,  industrial-inspired  elements.  The  introduction  of
                                                             black steel I-beams, initially a structural necessity, became a defining
                                                             feature that set the tone for the entire home.

                                                             The kitchen's design philosophy, "a place for everything and
                                                             everything in its place," is evident in its minimalist approach and
                                                             clean lines. Warm oak Monocoat timber slats and cupboard fronts
                                                             soften  the  industrial  edge,  harmonising  with  the  existing  dining
                                                             table and wall art. A clever solution to maintain the open feel while
                                                             concealing the scullery comes in the form of custom glass sliding

                                                             doors that tuck neatly into the cabinetry.

                                                             The dining area, now an extension of the kitchen, showcases the
                                                             designers' problem-solving skills. A built-in bench seat utilises the
