bay window space, allowing for optimal flow around the new kitchen
counter while framing the garden view.

Perhaps the most dramatic transformation occurred in the living
area. By removing the division between the enclosed patio-braai
area and the main living space, the designer created a breathtaking
open-plan area that encompasses the TV lounge, entrance foyer, and
undercover patio. This bold move pays homage to the industrial loft
aesthetic while maximising natural light and flow.

Cohesion was key throughout the project, achieved through
consistent use of flooring, paint colours, and finishes. Lighting plays
a crucial role, with a mix of feature pendants, wall sconces, and
recessed LED ceiling lights creating both ambiance and functionality.
The renovation extended to transforming a one-bedroom apartment
wing into a sophisticated bar lounge area. This space exemplifies the
project's attention to detail, featuring custom-designed storage, a
Coco Bead chandelier, and a new fireplace that creates an inviting
           atmosphere for entertaining.

Upstairs, the landing has been reimagined as a cosy lounge area with
built-in seating and storage, perfect for casual relaxation or working
from home. The bedrooms and bathrooms have been updated to
align with the home's new aesthetic, combining concrete-look
finishes with warm timber elements and bold black accents.

Outside, the master bedroom's balcony has been transformed into an
oasis with a new pergola, built-in seating, and a counter for enjoying
           garden views.

This remarkable renovation is a testament to the power of collaboration
between Design By EI Wood and House Grant’s homeowners. Design
By EI Wood's vision, combined with the expertise of Gelis Kitchen
Experts and the hands-on involvement of the Grants, has resulted in
a home that is not just aesthetically stunning but also deeply personal
           and functional.

The House Grant project stands as a shining example of how thoughtful
design can transform a traditional space into a contemporary haven
that perfectly balances style and comfort. It's a home that not only
meets the present needs of its owners but is poised to be enjoyed for
years to come – truly a dream home realised. dw
