Brand, Mandy (aka ‘Mands’) has
Fan insatiable passion for fashion,
which was fostered from a young age
thanks to her mothers infectious love
for footwear, apparel and accessories.
Born in South Africa in 1984, Mands
enjoys infusing her look with a blend of
quirkiness, colour and creativity.
1984 Deluxe Brand was founded in
2020 out of a desire to design a range of
proudly South African sneakers that is not
contained by the boundaries of age, dress
code or occasion. The brand's foundations
are in thoughtfully designed women’s
sneakers and one-of-a-kind handbags. Its
offering extends to inspired accessories
and a select apparel collection.
1984 Deluxe Brand's aesthetic is best
described as street chic. Our pieces convey
an urban edge with a touch of glam, while
staying firmly in our South African roots.
We choose to celebrate femininity and
beauty through practical, comfortable, and
bold design. The brand draws inspiration
from South Africa’s magnificent wildlife, the
bounty of our precious metal and gemstone
resources, and the edginess of our urban
environments. Our designs incorporate
bold animal prints, glinting metallics and
fearless pops of colour while achieving a
harmonious and timeless presence.
Each handbag and sneaker is meticulously
produced in South Africa, ensuring and
fostering the growth of our local industry.
