George networking/CPD and training event
Day one began with product training
from Hafele on their new cabinetry
lighting systems. Tracy then delivered the
KSA’s own CPD talk on kitchen industry
acceptable tolerances and the day was
wound up with a networking event with
PG Bison, Hafele, Davidson Boards and
Sonae Arauco. Day two was a morning
of casual golf where members hosted
their key customers. Everyone embraced
the day in great spirits and agreed to play
despite the slightly waterlogged course.
The subsequent aqua golf gave rise to
many laughts and a great day out for all.
We are looking forward to doing more in
the area moving forward.
The second week was just as busy with
us hosting online CPD training with Blum
on Age in Place and accessibility design.
This was followed by simultaneous events
in Johannesburg and Cape Town. On
Cape Town we held a CPD event at BSH
Appliances with a talk on Smart Appliance
technology and its place in South Africa
in an age of loadshedding. While in
Johannesburg BSH, Hansgrohe and
Cosentino collaborated on a sustainability
networking event.
The cherry on the top of a busy month
has been the appointment of our new
Western Cape regional representative.
Ebie du Preez will be joining the KSA
team from the 25 June and will spend
her first few weeks in training getting to
know the KSA and the industry before she
hits the road to get to meet her members.
We are looking forward to having her on
board and wish her the best of success in
her new role. dw
