             Eta Beta bookcase

                 designed for

                   Kriptonite

                by Paolo Ulian and
                   Cinzio Ianiro

                 he Eta Beta bookcase, designed
for Kriptonite by Paolo Ulian and
           TCinzio Ianiro, is an exceptionally
           easy-to-assemble wall system.
             The design connects the horizontal
           shelves by means of pantograph-style
lateral struts that work like a sort of
           accordion. The system is already assembled;
the customer need only extend the lateral
cross-braces and secure the bookcase to
the wall. The result is a functional object
distinguished by great visual lightness – in
keeping with the Kriptonite philosophy –
and a decorative twist. Eta Beta is available
in two different heights, a seven-shelf
           version 212cm high, and a four-shelf, 134-
cm version. The shelves are 20cm deep
and 82cm wide. When the light strikes the
           bookcase, the pantograph system creates
evocative geometric shadows on the wall.
The aluminum bookcase comes in matte
           white or matte black. dw
